cosmic metal mother strikes again, this time on argentos very own label, panacustica. here comes >twice,< a brilliant new 12inch inch with remixes from professor genius (italians do it better, u.s.a) and baby ford (ifac, u.k.). on the first cut, the mother explores deeper grooves in a more organic fashion, letting an ethereal, trippy, melodic piano line unfold on a solid, spaced-out disco groove. the remixes of this hypnotic monster are just as strong as the original. professor geniuss >ragazza mix< elaborates on the melody, delivering a layered synth stomper right to the floor, while baby fords remix deconstructs the track into pumping, minimal, machine funk, typical of his incredible trademark sound. panacusticas first 12 inch delivers pure soulful psychedelia.

rebolledo is an artist from xalapa, mexico, who is very much part of the comeme family of latin american artists. he s been around from the early days when he used to provide music for the buenos aires based bumbumbox street parties. so far he s had tracks on previous comeme releases, notably pitaya frenesi, but this is his first full release on his own. rebodello is the consummate comeme artist, with a quirky sense of humour, a unique latin american approach to dance music and a lean lo-fi approach to track making that is built to cut through on any sound system. lead track >guerrero< follows in comemes now established strange sense of humour, guerrero means warrrior and is a track about a >guerrero< who comes out at night and dresses in leather, it s all shouted vocals simple beats and 80s style synths. venganza y seduccion means vengeance and seduction and features suggestive panted echoing vocals over a cosmic disco bassline, while atmospheric chords build in the background, if this sounds strange it s because it is, but the combination works really well in a club.
the b side of the record is much harder and more techno-like - marchante is completely different, aggressive kick drums, a pulsing bassline and siren-like synths bring this track a panicked feel, which is offset by the way the drums build into tough patterns. raid features strange nonsense vocals over a pulsing rhythm track that reminds of old chicago acid, if it wasn t for the strange atmosphere. rebodello is a very welcome addition to the world of dance music.

the best comes last, that is also our opinion and we are proud to present 2 amazing tracks before we take a little summer break. again with a new artist on our ostwind sailer. the young bulgarian ataneus gives his debut on the a side. with >20 years of democracy< he shows us a lyrical, energetic and detroit flavoured track which builds on and on and will definitely rock the floors. an excellent debut how we think and we look forward to his forthcoming tracks. on the flip cosmic cowboys give their vinyl debut on ostwind, too. here on fofftein they come with the anthem >deep is a message<. shallow depth, fluffy, with massive compression of course, and as the name implies rounded down with deepness, this track is a really nice mover for the open air season. we appreciate these artists for this great release and we think to them when we enjoy this sound over the big pas at the open airs
